Contract - T&I Package - Travel to EU HQ when needed
Hunter Philips are currently searching for a Senior Procurement Manager to lead the Transport & Installation (T&I) Package for a major Offshore Wind Project. As the key point of contact for the Awarding Stage, you will manage all procurement activities related to the transportation and installation of wind turbines, foundations, and cables. Your expertise in offshore logistics and contracting will ensure the successful delivery of this critical package, which is essential to the project's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Procurement for the T&I Package:
Manage the entire procurement process for the Transport & Installation (T&I) package, with a focus on the awarding of contracts to key suppliers.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure optimal outcomes in terms of cost, schedule, and quality.
Oversee the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with T&I contractors.
Contract Negotiation and Awarding:
Lead complex contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors for the transport and installation of wind turbines, foundations, and subsea cables.
Ensure contracts are awarded in line with project requirements, including scope of work, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
Finalise contracts with T&I suppliers, securing the best possible commercial terms and ensuring that all technical and logistical requirements are met.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key T&I contractors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
Manage supplier performance during the contract negotiation phase, ensuring compliance with project milestones, budgets, and quality standards.
Act as the main point of escalation for any issues or disputes related to the T&I package, working closely with suppliers to ensure swift resolution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the project’s Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Project Management teams to ensure procurement activities align with the overall project strategy and objectives.
Collaborate with other package managers (e.g., WTG, Foundations, Cables) to ensure coordination and alignment across all offshore wind project elements.
Ensure that all T&I activities are fully integrated into the project’s master schedule and risk management plans.
Risk and Compliance Management:
Identify and manage risks related to the T&I package, particularly those associated with offshore logistics, vessel availability, weather windows, and environmental regulations.
Ensure that all contracts and procurement activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards, including health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Maintain detailed records of procurement decisions and contract negotiations to ensure transparency and accountability.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement, with significant experience in offshore wind.
Demonstrated expertise in managing procurement for Transport & Installation (T&I) packages, particularly during the awarding stage.
Strong understanding of offshore wind project logistics, vessel operations, and installation techniques for wind turbines, foundations, and subsea cables.
Proven track record in leading complex contract negotiations and managing supplier relationships in a high-stakes environment.
