Senior Project Manager – District Heating - (Contract – 12 Months)
We are supporting a major energy infrastructure business looking to hire a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis to lead adoption model projects within their District Heating portfolio.
You’ll manage multiple live projects (typically £1–3 million in value), overseeing the review, integration, and acceptance of assets designed and delivered by third-party contractors. This is a delivery-focused position, reporting directly into the senior leadership team and interfacing with engineering, adoptions, and commercial functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of asset adoption projects, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide monthly reporting against project baselines, timelines, and milestones
- Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering Managers, Adoptions Managers, Commercial, Operations, and Customer functions
- Act as the key point of contact for project performance, client management, and issue resolution
- Review and approve designs and installations by third-party contractors before commissioning and operational onboarding
- Track progress across multiple workstreams and provide forward-looking insights on critical paths and delivery risks
- Ensure compliance, quality, and customer experience remain high throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
- Strong Project Management background in energy, utilities, or infrastructure
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and stakeholder interfaces
- M&E background preferred; district heating experience highly desirable
- Strong client and internal stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable reporting on progress, risks, and milestones
Contract Logistics:
- Location: UK (Hybrid)
- Start Date: Depends on the candidate circumstances
- Contract Type: 12 months with possible extension
