Company
Cube Green Energy offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, growing company that’s at the forefront of repowering aging onshore wind farms and driving greenfield developments across Wind, Solar, and BESS. The company is supported by significant investment and is poised for rapid growth, aiming to develop and operate 2.5 GW across Europe in the coming years. Cube Green Energy is an IPP and was founded just four years ago in Germany by a group of five senior leaders from GE, who brought their vast experience in power management and global expansion to create something new. They are backed by the powerhouse investor, Iceberg Capital and are well-positioned to become a powerhouse in the renewable market. Last year alone Cube grew it’s development team by 25+ people. Their projects are in early stages currently; however, Cube offers you the chance to make a tangible impact from day one. The progression opportunities here are unparalleled – within just five years, you could see yourself climbing the ranks with multiple promotions as the company scales rapidly. You’ll be part of a team that’s not just growing in numbers, but in influence, as Cube expands its footprint across Germany and beyond in areas such as Spain, France, UK, Poland, Italy, and Sweden. At Cube, you won’t be just a number. They value every team member's input and foster a flat hierarchy where decisions are made quickly, and everyone’s voice is heard. You’ll work closely with experienced directors and have the autonomy to make real changes without being bogged down by layers of bureaucracy like in some of the global companies. The team members come from large IPPs and developers where they couldn’t effect change. For example, you’ll be working alongside Andre, the head of construction, who spent 17 years at GE and is now focused on building Cube’s construction department from the ground up in Germany. You’ll be the second key hire in this area, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company. Andre was the first person in GE’s German market and played a key role in developing GE’s presence in the German market to where it is today. As well as Andre, the MD Ralf established RWE’s onshore wind business from scratch building this up to where it is today, he left RWE when the company became really corporate and joined Cube Green. He has joined Cube Green to help them grow in the market as he did with RWE. While wind energy remains their primary focus, they are expanding into solar and have just launched a BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) arm of the business in Germany. What they are looking for someone who sees joining Cube as an opportunity to be involved in something new which has room for significant expansion and growth, without growing to the level of a big utility or IPP as they want to stay agile and fluid.
