Project Finance Manager

My client, headquartered in Wiesbaden, Germany, is seeking a dynamic individual to join as a Project Manager in Financing. Collaborate with the expanding business development teams in Calgary and Halifax to bring our ambitious pipeline of large-scale renewable energy projects to fruition – encompassing wind, solar, battery, and green hydrogen initiatives.      

Your Role:      

• Lead the development and negotiation of project contracts, fostering collaboration with local stakeholders, co-operation partners, and technical/financial counterparts.          
• Structure and navigate debt and equity financings for diverse projects in wind, solar, storage, and hydrogen in the Canadian market.          
• Establish and nurture collaborations and relationships within the energy and finance sectors.          
• Critically review power purchase agreements, participate in tender processes, and contribute to bidding strategies.          
• Construct and maintain intricate financial models to support project evaluations.          
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams, locally and internationally, working closely with our development team and the German headquarters.           

Your Profile:      

• Bring a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in financing and sales within the renewable energy sector, with expertise in project agreements and energy markets.         
• Exhibit business fluency in English; proficiency in German and other languages is advantageous.          
• Hold an academic degree, preferably in Economics/Business Administration or a related field.          
• Possess a keen ability to work independently, think entrepreneurially, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
