Principal HV Engineer

We are partnered with an industry leader who are at the forefront of delivering high voltage infrastructure solutions across Australia.

 

They have expertise in the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of critical infrastructure, including transmission substations, wind farms, and battery storage systems

 

Operating from offices in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, they have grown to become a trusted partner for the country’s major transmission network providers.

 

Due to a significant pipeline of projects, we are looking to identify a ‘Principal HV Engineer’ to join their large in-house team of highly experienced engineers.

 

Bringing your experience with HV systems, you will be an integral part of their team, bring crucial lessons learned to a relatively immature market in Australia and play a large role in the success of the various flagship projects they are delivering.

 

You will hold both technical and supervisory responsibilities whilst overseeing the development of high-quality designs for primary high-voltage (HV) systems.

 

Joining their team of over 140 Engineers and Designers, you will collaborate with the wider team and provide excellence in primary engineering. You will be the technical lead across all aspects of primary, civil, structural, building and site services engineering, supporting the project delivery

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years’ experience at a senior level with substation design and/or utility grid connections
• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor others
• Strong knowledge of Australian industry standards
• High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
