Head of Project Execution - Wind & Solar PV

Hunter Philips Executive Search have been retained by an international utility / developer to identify and hire a ‘Head of Project Execution - Wind & Solar PV’

You would be responsible for the implementation of their onshore wind and ground-mounted PV projects.

Leading a team of 15 (and growing!), you will be responsible for the implementation phase of their projects from the investment decision to acceptance and handover to operational management.

Based in Berlin, they have 2 onshore wind projects currently under construction however, as a yearly target going forward, they have concrete plans to complete 6 onshore wind / PV projects per year!

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the project implementation team.
• Oversee large-scale wind and solar projects, ensuring compliance with budget, time, and quality standards.
• Calculate construction services and resource needs for investment decisions.
• Prepare and assess tender procedures in collaboration with procurement, and support contract negotiations.
• Develop specifications for construction and engineering services.
• Establish processes and standards for project execution and reporting.
• Ensure quality compliance at construction sites.

Your Profile:

• Completed studies in engineering or business, or technical training in electrical or mechanical engineering (or a comparable field).
• Leadership experience, with significant experience managing large projects in the renewable energy sector (Wind and Solar PV) within the German market
