The Role/Requirements

As an Associate Attorney, you will play a key role in supporting the legal team, providing legal guidance across various aspects of the business. You will be responsible for drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, consulting agreements, leases, and purchase and sale agreements, as well as handling complex regulatory issues related to renewable energy development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the legal team with legal writing, research, and analysis.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, including leases, NDAs, consulting agreements, and purchase agreements.
• Researching complex regulatory issues related to renewable energy and permitting.
• Supporting negotiations for power sales, interconnection, equipment, and financing agreements.
• Managing project documentation and ensuring compliance with internal and external stakeholder requirements.
• Providing regular legal updates and reports to management.

The Person

• 3-5+ years of experience as a legal professional in a relevant field.
• Strong communication and writing skills, with an ability to handle a diverse workload.
• Basic understanding of regulatory law, land use, project permitting, and commercial contracts related to renewable energy.
• J.D. from an accredited law school, with membership in good standing with the Florida, New York, or other relevant Bar Associations.
• Must have experience in working on renewable energy projects in the USA.
