The Company
A global IPP and Project Developer with more than 30GW of renewable energy projects in their pipeline across over 12 countries.
The Role
As Global Head of Grid Integration, key duties include:
- Be the main point of contact for the company for all grid related subjects
- Develop and execute 3-5 year strategy, to accelerate successful grid connections, including selection of equipment and service providers
- Close working relationship and advisory role to the executive management board on all grid integration topics
- Lead and manage the grid application process, while coordinating internal & external stakeholders
- Collaborate in the negotiation & closing of grid connection, OEM, and engineering contracts
- Oversee development of standards, processes, tools, and best practices for effective delivery of all connections and interfacing across all internal and external stakeholders
- Build & maintain relationships with DNOs, TSOs, OEMs, EPC
- Oversee all topics related to power systems studies
- Build and lead a high performing international team
- Progression to VP of Engineering or similar in 2-3 years
The Person
Desired requirements:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering and/or a Project Management qualification
- 10+ years in the renewable energy sector and a proven track record of managing large-scale grid integration projects from inception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems
- Team management experience (3 or more direct reports)
- Fluency in English (C2)
