The Role:

As a Senior Legal Counsel some of your duties will be:

• Collaborate with the business development team on preparing and negotiating tender or bid documents and contracts globally.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with contractors, suppliers, vendors, and consultants.
• Provide legal support during project execution and operational phases.
• Conduct legal reviews on financing arrangements, guarantee structures, and corporate law matters.
• Handle in-house legal tasks and offer legal support to various departments, including those in other jurisdictions.
• Manage corporate secretarial tasks, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
• Engage and coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.
• Communicate with other departments within the company.

The Person:

• Licensed lawyer in Norway or a Commonwealth country, with other jurisdictions considered based on qualifications.
• Fluent in Spanish & English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• 6-10 years of experience in contract and transaction law, preferably in the renewable energy, oil and gas, or construction sectors, either from a law firm or in-house legal department.
• International experience and familiarity with the renewable energy sector are advantageous.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
