Plant Operator
6 Month Contract - Inside IR35 - Generator - Onsite - 8 hour shifts.
YA power plant requires a skilled operator to manage, maintain, and ensure safe, efficient plant operations in a competitive environment. Reporting to Operations, the role involves supporting continuous operations, safety compliance, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and monitor plant equipment.
- Ensure safety standards for all personnel.
- Conduct regular testing, monitoring, and assessment of equipment.
- Log shift records and report as needed.
- Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement projects.
- Attend scheduled meetings and support project work.
- Maintain required operational certifications and cover shifts as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven ability to analyse operational data and respond to changing conditions.
- Experience in the operation of a Siemens CCGT, large power plant based on 2:2:1 (2x V94.2 gas turbines, 2 x Austrian Energy Heat Recovery Steam Generators HRSG, 1 x Siemens 180 MW D-N type Steam Turbine).
- Experience using the Siemens T3000 and TXP DCS
- Experience with Siemens CCGT and DCS systems.
- Strong IT and communication skills.
- Flexibility for additional shift coverage.
Essential:
- Engineering/technical qualification, level 6 to 8, or equivalent operations experience.
Location & Requirements:
- Full-time, on-site role at a power facility.
- Start Date: 01/12/2024, with an initial six-month duration.
- Candidate must provide PPE, first aid and manual handling certifications, and have work permissions in Ireland.
This position requires on-site presence with no remote options, and relocation expenses are not covered.
