The Company:
My client, a rapidly growing and profitable solar energy company, is at the forefront of reducing carbon emissions and improving access to clean energy with every solar module they produce. With cutting-edge facilities in the US and Canada, they design and manufacture high-efficiency photovoltaic cells and modules. They are now seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee their manufacturing operations and improve their equipment reliability whilst ensuring safety and efficient production.
The Role:
- Oversee the maintenance team in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Plan, schedule, and assign maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Lead efforts to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Support the implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage contractor resources.
The Person:
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems, with proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and diagrams.
- Hands-on experience working with industrial PCs, PLCs, and automated manufacturing environments.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., electrical technology, engineering) or equivalent work experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
