About the Company:
This is an opportunity to join one of the world’s fastest-growing clean tech innovators, backed by global R&D, and responsible for delivering cutting-edge solutions in grid-scale battery storage.
With a strong European pipeline and established operations in over 20 countries, the business combines the stability of a large international group with the pace and agility of a scale-up environment.
They are shaping the future of energy systems by delivering next-generation storage technology to support the energy transition — and are now looking for a commercial leader to support their ambitious growth across Europe.
The Role:
As Commercial Manager, you will lead the full commercial cycle of utility-scale energy storage projects — from strategy and bid preparation to final contract negotiation and signing.
This is a hybrid role with a base in Madrid and occasional travel across Europe to engage with partners and clients. You'll work closely with technical, legal, and finance teams to shape project bids and lead negotiations on large-scale contracts.
You’ll be joining a forward-thinking company with a global reputation in clean energy innovation and a roadmap that includes battery storage, hydrogen, and next-gen wind solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
· Lead the commercial structuring and negotiation of grid-scale energy storage contracts.
· Translate client tender requests into commercially sound and competitive proposals.
· Build bid strategies that deliver value while managing commercial and contractual risk.
· Coordinate internal stakeholders to align technical, financial, and legal inputs.
· Act as the commercial lead in client meetings, negotiations, and contractual finalisations.
· Present key risks, opportunities, and commercial summaries to internal decision-makers.
· Support the delivery team with any contract variations or amendments post-signature.
What You’ll Bring:
· Degree in business, engineering, law, or a related field.
· Strong track record of closing large, complex commercial deals (ideally €10m+).
· Experience in utility-scale infrastructure, energy, or storage markets.
· Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills across multiple cultures.
· Ability to manage multiple concurrent deals under pressure.
· Excellent English (any additional European languages a plus).
· Flexible to travel within Europe on a regular basis.
