Contract Engineer
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Contract Engineer to support the development and execution of tenders and contracts across all project packages. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient procurement processes and the successful delivery of offshore wind energy projects, with a specific focus on the foundations and transport & installation (T&I) packages.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of government processes, procurement tools, and offshore wind projects, This is a hands-on, execution-focused role suited to someone who can deliver results efficiently and autonomously without the need for managerial oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, coordinate, and execute tenders for all project packages, ensuring alignment with company and industry standards.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to define tender requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and prepare recommendations for contract awards.
Contract Execution:
- Draft, review, and finalise contracts to ensure they meet project objectives and timelines.
- Support the procurement team in managing supplier relationships and resolving contractual issues.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies throughout the contracting process.
Package Support:
- Provide specialised support for main packages, particularly in foundations and T&I (transport and installation).
- Ensure technical and commercial alignment with project requirements.
Efficiency and Process Optimisation:
- Use your knowledge of tools and processes to streamline workflows, saving time and improving efficiency.
- Quickly adapt to project demands and execute tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project execution.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Engineering, Procurement, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience in tendering, contract management, and procurement within offshore wind or similar sectors.
- Familiarity with offshore wind foundations and T&I packages.
- Knowledge of government processes.
- Fluency in English; French language skills would be advantageous.
