Responsibilities:
Lead the commissioning process for 220kv, 110kv, 38kV & 20kV substations across ESB networks in Ireland, adhering to stringent industry standards and project specifications.
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop comprehensive commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures tailored to the unique requirements of each substation.
Conduct rigorous inspections, tests, and functional checks of high-voltage equipment and systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection relays.
Identify and address technical challenges and issues encountered during the commissioning phase, working collaboratively with engineering teams and contractors to resolve them effectively.
Document commissioning activities, findings, and recommendations meticulously for project records and client handover.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Requirements:
3-5 years' experience in commissioning engineering on substations operating at 220kV, 110kV, 38kV, and 20kV.
University degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field/relevant work experience.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Professional English speaking & writing skills.
EU permit to work or UK citizenship.
