This role involves working on the fabrication and testing of major high-voltage electrical equipment. Hunter Philips is currently seeking a QA/QC Engineer for a utility-scale PV plant who will be responsible for for ensuring the quality and reliability of the client’s solar energy systems. The role is based in Ireland, starting in April 2025 for a 12-month contract. You will conduct inspections, perform tests, and implement quality control procedures to maintain the highest standards of performance and safety.   Our client leads innovative energy transition projects worldwide, focusing on renewable energy, grid modernization, and sustainable infrastructure. Whilst experience in the PV industry would be a huge advantage, this opportunity is also open to those without experience in the industry.   Principal Accountabilities: Conduct Inspections: Perform inspections on PV modules, inverters, trenches, PV structures and other system components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Identify Defects: Detect and document any defects or inconsistencies in PV components and systems and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve these issues. Implement Quality Standards: Assist in developing and implementing quality control processes and standards specific to PV plant operations. Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of inspections, tests, and other quality control activities to track performance and identify areas for improvement. Continuous Improvement: Analyse data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance system performance and reliability. Training: Train plant staff on quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a culture of quality. Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on quality control activities, findings, and any issues encountered. Requirements: Proven experience as a QA/QC Technician, preferably in the renewable energy sector or utility-scale PV plants. Experience in electrical and quality engineering is essential, with oversight of subcontractor quality standards and experience in using quality control software. Strong understanding of PV systems, quality control standards, and testing procedures. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications or qualifications in quality assurance, electrical engineering, or a related field are a plus. Plant Operator   6 Month Contract - Inside IR35 - Generator - Onsite - 8 hour shifts.  YA power plant requires a skilled operator to manage, maintain, and ensure safe, efficient plant operations in a competitive environment. Reporting to Operations, the role involves supporting continuous operations, safety compliance, and team collaboration.   Key Responsibilities: Safely operate and monitor plant equipment. Ensure safety standards for all personnel. Conduct regular testing, monitoring, and assessment of equipment. Log shift records and report as needed. Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement projects. Attend scheduled meetings and support project work. Maintain required operational certifications and cover shifts as needed. Qualifications & Experience: Proven ability to analyse operational data and respond to changing conditions. Experience in the operation of a Siemens CCGT, large power plant based on 2:2:1 (2x V94.2 gas turbines, 2 x Austrian Energy Heat Recovery Steam Generators HRSG, 1 x Siemens 180 MW D-N type Steam Turbine). Senior Contract Manager - 12 Month Contract - Offshore Wind Hunter Philips are currently searching for a Senior Contract Manager for a large scale offshore windfarm based in the APAC region. Key Responsibilities: Oversee compliance with core contractual obligations, both within the organization and with external partners, managing all aspects of contract administration, commercial issues, claims, and any necessary adjustments. Review contracts and provide guidance to project teams on interpreting and implementing critical provisions in everyday operations. Analyze and offer recommendations on commercial matters post-contract, preparing advisory notes and supporting documentation for claims or adjustments. Ensure all necessary regulatory requirements are met in areas such as permits, leases, and agreements relevant to the project’s scope. Maintain a detailed register to monitor contracts, claims, payments, warranties, and other key elements. Increase contract awareness across the project team and provide support on procurement, ensuring sourcing strategies meet budget and governance requirements. Engage regularly with stakeholders, supporting commercial reporting and maintaining effective communication with project leaders. Take ownership of contract and commercial records, ensuring these are consistently accurate and up to date with project changes.
